Bassoonist
Gives Recital

Music Study Club of
Metropolitan Detroit will pre-
sent Dr. Peter Schoenbach,
bassoonist, in a lecture-recital
at the Birmingham Temple
on Tuesday at 12:15 p.m.
Dr. Schoenbach is chairman
of the department of music at
Wayne State University. A
bassoonist and wodwind
coach, Schoenback has per-
formed at the Berkshire
Music Center, Marlboro, and
the Bowden Festival, as well
as with Philadelphia, Min-
nesota and Detroit orchetras.
Vladislav Kovalsky, pianist,
will be the accompanist.
Vera Rollin Burke is chair-
man of the day. Guests are
welcome. There is a nominal

recreate the songs and style of
the late composer in "Ger-
shwin by Request." Pianist

baritone Benjamin Matthews
will entertain.
