MICHIGAN BONE AND JOINT AND REHABILITATION INSTITUTE

LeVine Institute
Gets Grant

The LeVine Institute on Ag-
ing of the Jewish Home for
Aged has received a $8,060
grant from the Community
Foundation of Southeastern
Michigan to fund an energy
analysis at Borman Hall.
The Community Founda-
tion Energy Conservation
Program considers grant pro-
posals from non-profit
organizations which would
like to become more energy
efficient, but do not have
funds available to analyze or
alter existing energy systems.
With the grant, plans will
be developed to retrofit all
energy systems at Borman
Hall for a more cost effective
operation.
A second request will be
made to the Community
Foundation for funds to cover
a portion of the expense of
revamping the system.
According to James Piper,
Assistant Director at Borman
Hall, updating energy
systems at that facility will
result in savings of approx-
imately $54,000 a year.
