At the University of Judaism, Los Angeles, the gallery will present a retrospective exhibition for sculptor Aharon Bezalel now through May 9. Yakir is Bezalel's national distributor. A special exhibition to benefit United Hebrew Schools will continue in the lobby. of the UHS building through Wednesday. Etchings by A. Yakin and Judaica are featured. Avraham Yakin will be represented this summer in a one-man show at Gallery Yakir. Most of his subjects are Jewish and feature Jerusalem landscapes. Jefferson, Detroit. ' Among the pieces is a Louis XVI, 18th Century white marble, d'ore bronze calliophonic back clock made by renowned French clock maker, Jean LePaute, for Marie Antoinette. The original works remain in the back of the clock and it offers a music box (calliophonic) ver- sion of the time. A Korean gold crown, discovered in - 1921, and a miniature of the Gates of Lon- don, handwrought in sterling silver, are also up for auction. Detroit is represented in an assortment entitled, "Dynamic Detroit" by Adam Nowakowski. Created as a library set, each work represents a discipline: agriculture, arts, medicine, law, industry. Inuit Art At Gallery Territorial Sculptures Gallery, 330 Hamilton, Bir- mingham, along with Tut- tavik, announces its spring show entitled "Transforma- tion of the Shaman." The show will consist solely of pieces depicting the shaman's transformation into an animal and back again. The pieces were created by Inuit carvers. "Transformation of the Shaman" will run through May 30. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tues- day through Saturday.
