Names Glancy
For Award

Alfred R. Glancy III, chair-
man and chief executive of-
ficer of MCN Copt and its
subsidiary Michigan Con-
solidated Gas Co., will receive
the National Jewish
Humanitarian Award at a
black-tie dinner May 4 at the
Westin Hotel. The event is a
fund-raiser for the National
Jewish Center for Im-
munology and Respiratory
Medicine.
The award is presented in
Detroit and other U.S. cities
to recognize individuals for
outstanding community
service.
Glancy is vice chairman of
the United Foundation, and
was its chairman for the 1987
Torch Drive. He is chairman
of New Detroit, Inc., a vice
chairman of Rehabilitation
Institute and a member of the
Detroit Medical Corp.
Glancy is also on the board
and executive committee of
Detroit Symphony Orchestra
Hall, Inc., and chairs its
finance committee. He is
assistant treasurer, trustee
and a member of the ex-
ecutive committee for the
Founders Society of the
Detroit Institute of Arts.
Among the other organiza-
tions Glancy volunteers for
are the Detroit Economic
Growth Corp., Detroit
Renaissance, Inc., Communi-
ty Foundation for
Southeastern Michigan, the
Michigan Colleges Founda-
