'Dragons' Invade
U-M Theater
The musical theater pro-
gram of the University of
Michigan School of Music will
present Sheldon Harnick's
most recent work, the
musical Dragons, Thursday
through April 16 at the Power
Center in Ann Arbor. Har-
nick has written the lyrics,
music and libretto for
Dragons.
His past work includes the
lyrics for Fiddler on the
Roof Dragons is a musical
adaptation of the play The
Dragon, written in 1943 by
Soviet playwright Yevgeny
Schwartz.
When Schwartz's play was
first staged in Leningrad in
1943, it was quickly removed
from production by govern-
ment censors.
