Rebecca
Katzman,
daughter of Dr. and Mrs.
Jerry Katzman of Farm-
ington Hills, will twin her bat
mitzvah with Anzhela
Abramova of Uzbek SSR,
USSR, at Congregation Beth
Abraham Hillel Moses on
Sunday.
Anzhela is the daughter of
Efim and Elizaveta
Abramova. They were refused
an exit visa in January 1973
for unknown reasons. An-
zhela will be 13 this year, but
since it is forbidden by Soviet
law for anyone under 16 to
take part in a religious
ceremony, she will be denied
her right to be a bat mitzvah.

David Krieger, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Richard Krieger,
will share his bar mitzvah
with Willy Landman during
services at Congregation
Beth Shalom on Saturday.
Willy is the son of Yakov
and Ludmilla Landman of
Ukrainian SSR, USSR. The
senior Landman is a
decorator by profession. Wil-
ly's parents first applied for
an exit visa in 1972, but were
refused because of military
service. Willy, who is 13, is be-
ing denied his right to be a
bar mitzvah because Soiriet
law forbids anyone under 16
to take part in a religious
ceremony.
David has written many let-
ters to Willy, but so far he has
not received a response. On
Saturday, David will read
from the Torah for both
himself and his Russian twin.
