Mr. and Mrs. Robert A.
Steinberg of Birmingham are
pleased to announce the
engagement of their son, Dr.
David I. Steinberg, to Ellen
Marie Woodhouse, daughter
of Mrs. Carol Busch of West
Branch, Mich., and Mr. Ar-
thur Woodhouse of Sitka,
Alaska.
Ellen attended the Univer-
sity of Alaska and is
employed as a medical
assistant.
David was graduated from
the University of Michigan
and the College of
Osteopathic Medicine and
Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa.
He is a resident at Sinai
Hospital.
A May wedding is planned.

Program Looks
At Voluntarism

The entire community is in-
vited to take part in a new
program aimed at high-
lighting volunteer oppor-
tunities at Jewish communal
agencies, 9 a.m. Thursday.
Sponsored by the Jewish
Welfare Federation Women's
Division, the "Hours for
Ours" program gets under-
way with a presentation at
the Jewish Home for Aged.
Agency volunteer coor-
dinators will be on hand to ac-
quaint people with the
volunteer opportunities of-
fered at three Federation
agencies. The program will -
last until noon.
There is no charge for the
day, and babysitting is
available for a fee at the Jim-
my Prentis Morris Jewish
Community Center.

Classes Open
At Maple/Drake

There are still openings in
some classes at the Jewish
Community Center.
Alycia Hutchisson teaches
tap dancers (age 4-6) in her
Monday class at 4:15 p.m.
Intermediate bridge with
Dan Kelsten meets on Tues-
day mornings.
Denise Welling teaches
ladies tap dancing on Friday
mornings.
All of these classes are be-
ing offered at the Maple/
Drake Building. They are
open to the public. For infor-
