American Jewish high school students with at least one year of French langauge study who have just com- pleted ninth grade and students up through 12th grade are eligible. Applicants are accepted to the program on the basis of their maturi- ty and suitability as deter- mined by an interview. Those interested in hosting a French Jewish teenager must have a teenager in the family. Knowledge of French is not required. The French teenagers (and their American teenage contact) will be involved in a five-day week activity corresponding with the Jewish Community Center's Teen Caravan pro- gram but with a specialized staff suited for the age, linguistic ability and uni- queness of the group. Transportation to and from the home will be provided during the regularly schedul- ed program hours of 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. by the Jewish Center. The price of the program in- cludes round-trip air fare from Detroit to Paris and all visits and activities, plus meals and housing.
