night social into a
benefit for the
needy at the recent "Sock Hop
for the Homeless."
Sponsored by Machar BBG,
the sock hop at Orchard Lake
Middle School netted about 200
pairs of socks for the homeless
-and $500 for the South Oakland
Shelter, according to adviser
Cynthia Metz.
D.J. Jon Trains provided the
music for dancing at the
community-wide event, which
took place during the B'nai
B'rith Youth Organization
interregional convention. 'Dens
from the Chicago and St. Louis
regions joined their Detriot
peers at the event.

chapter members making
arrangements for the sock hop
were: Debbie Rosenberg, Ellen
Kogan, Leah Bloch and Debbie
