On Memory

"Forget Forgetting" is Tem-
ple Israel Sisterhood's April
10 luncheon program. Lynn
Stern, an author and senior
social worker at . Turner
Geriatric Services, Universi-
ty of Michigan Medical
Center, will discuss how
memory works and changes
with age and other factors
that affect memory. She will
also offer memory-
improvement techniques.
This is the sisterhood's elec-
tion meeting. There is a
charge and reservations are

health and fitness seminar

Living Clinic of Sinai
Hospital.
His topic for the luncheon
will be "Experiencing the Joy
of Laughter, Play and

Morgenthau Chapter, B'nai

Workshop Gives
Seder Advice

The sisterhood of Congrega-
tion Beth Shalom will host its
annual Passover workshop at
10 a.m. April 9 at the
synagogue.
The program will show how
to host a home seder. Includ-
ed will be a supplement to the
Hagaddah, music, Passover
recipes and samples to taste.
Sisterhood members will
conduct and participate in the
program as well as prepare
and serve Passover foods. For

Rabbi Aft

Rabbi Bruce Aft, executiv-
ed director of the Midrasha
and principal of the United
Hebrew Schools Community
High School, will speak at
Hanita chapter of
Na'amat/USA's annual spring
luncheon at noon Wednesday.
It will be held in the Sutton
Place club house. Rabbi Aft's
topic will be "Reconstruc-
tionism and American Jewish
Life." Luncheon will be serv-

Michael Berke will speak to
the Greater Detroit Council of
