NEW Sports Director

SPORTS PROGRAMS

Sports Camp — Sunday, June 25 - Friday, July 21—

New four week specialized program for entering 6th
and 7th grade campers. Professional instruction
centering on softball, soccer, tennis and basketball.
Fundamental skills are emphasized along with the
acquisition of advanced team skills. Daily practice
tournaments and drills round out an exciting four
week program.

_Sports Specialty — Sunday, June 21 - Friday, July 21,
Tuesday, July 25 - Sunday, August 20 — For teens

entering 9th and 10th grades, this program offers a
full morning of sports where you'll improve your skills
in softball, soccer, basketball, tennis and track and
field, while increasing general fitness. Offered as part
of the co-ed program of Specialty Village.

Gail Frederick has been selected as the new
Sports Director of Camp Maas. Gail has a B.S. in
Recreation and Youth Leadership from M.S.U. and
a B.A. in physical education from E.M.U. She
currently coaches tennis at Troy High School. Her
personal interests are tennis, softball, swimming,
weight training, biking, and other on-going fitness
pursuits.

An informational meeting about the new Sports
Camp program will be held on Sunday, April 16,
at 2:00 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center
(6600 West' Maple Rd., West Bloomfield) room 327.
Gail Frederick, the new sports director, will be on
hand to answer questions.

'renovation of current sports facilities has been made possible
through a long-term grant from the Theodore and Mina
Bargman Foundation. Further renovations will be completed in
the coming years.
