(602-947-6365), considers itself

Rancho La Puerta is located
in Baja, Calif. (619)-294-8504). This
spa is known for its activity and
fitness program as well as its
vegetarian cuisine from the produce

at the spa.
The Golden Door, Escondido,
Calif. (619-744-5777), prescribes a
specific beauty treatment for each of
its 36 guests in a setting that looks
