Nursery Shares Creative
Talents With Seniors

Forty youngsters from Adat
Shalom Synagogue's Nursery
School recently shared their
talents and their creativity
with the residents of Borman
Hall.
The children presented an
original musical version of
the David and Goliath story. -
The young singers and
dancers brought along their
own scenery — 10 large mural
collages, including David
with his lyre, David with his
slingshot, David and Goliath
and David as king. The event
was the culmination of a
winter project on Bible
stories.
In January the youngsters
studied the David and
Goliath story in their in-
dividual classrooms. They
then began learning and

rehearsing songs, with
original lyrics and music
written for them by their
music teachers Collette Salon
Rosner and Cindy Rosner
Kelly. Nursery school director
is Dottie Levitsky.
The 10 child-created
backdrops were designed and
assembled for the program in
the individual three- and
four-year-old-classes. Each
group worked on a scene ap-
propriate to its age level and
sophistication.
To prepare the children for
their visit with the seniors,
Denise Dibiase from Borman
Hall came to the school and
talked with the youngsters
about communicating with
their "senior friends."
The artwork will remain on
display at Borman Hall.

'Hebrew Schools on April 9.
The Career Day is co-
sponsored by the United
Hebrew Schools/Midrasha-
College of Jewish Studies and

Center, Jewish Community
Council, Jewish Family Ser-
vice, Jewish Federation
Apartments, Jewish Home for
Aged, Jewish Vocational Ser-
vice, Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion, Ira Kaufman Chapel,
Michigan Board of Rabbis,
National Council of Jewish

Women, Sinai Hospital
among others.
Those who are interested in
choosing a career in the
Jewish community, those who
want to learn more about the
work of Jewish agencies,
those contemplating career
changes, those re-entering
the working world and college
students interested in intern-
ships are invited.
Participants will receive a
packet of information regar-
ding the sponsoring agencies.
Information regarding cur-
rent job openings will be
availalbe. The agenda for the
day will be 9 a.m.,
