married recently at Tam '0
Shanter Country Club. Rabbi
Dannel Schwartz officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Kovinsky
of Bloomfield lbwnship. The
bridegroom is the son of Mrs.
Linda Matluck of New York.
Marlynn Schiff, the bride's
sister, was matron of honor.
Wendy Rice, the bridegroom's
sister, was maid of honor. The
bridesmaids were Lisa Grof-
sky, Suzanne Rosencrans and
Jody Shulimson. The best
man was Mitchell Rice, the
VICKI GOLDBAUM,
Southfield City Council
member, has been selected to
serve this year on the com-
munity and economic devel-
opment policy steering com-
mittee of the National
League of Cities.
MARK NOBLE, formerly .of
Detroit's Rose AZA, was
recently appointed assistant
director at B'nai B'rith Beber
Camp in Mukwonago, Wis.
Noble, a past vice president in
his AZA chapter, will be
responsible for administra-
tion of Camp Beber's Perlman
Leadership Village, a 100-bed
year-round conference center,
as well as for program super-
bridegroom's brother. The
ushers were Mark Kovinsky,
the bride's brother; Adam
Cooper, Stuart Kohn, Ken-
neth Schiff and Kenneth
Tallering.
The bride's grandparents,
Rose and Iry Kasoff and
Sadye Kovinsky and the
bridegroom's grandparents,
Reggie Prentice, Jeanette
Rice and Herbert Prentice
also participated in the
ceremony.
Following their honeymoon
in Antigua, the couple is
residing in New York City.

Music Student
Wins Scholarship
Hannah Elbinger, a music
therapy student at Wayne
State University will receive
the Michigan Federation of
Music Club's Music Therapy
Scholarship at the club's con-
vention on May 11 in Cold-
water, Mich.
Ms. Elbinger is also a
pianist, composer and poet. -
She has performed as a
pianist at the Wayne State
Holocaust Memorial Cere-
mony, the Detroit Symphony
Designer Showcase Benefit,
the Detroit Historical
Museum, the Oak Park
Library Concert Series, and
was featured on Channel 2
News.
