Violin Lessons
To Begin

The Jewish Community
Center of Metropolitan
Detroit will begin classes in
Suzuki violin and art starting
April 3 at the Jimmy Prentis
Morris BUilding.
Tamara Goldfaden, a
violinist with the Toledo sym-
phony orchestra, will teach
individual and group lessons
for children age 4 and up on
Mondays and Fridays at 3
p.m.
Camille Harbeck will begin
her 10-week session on Mon-
days at 5 p.m. for boys ages
5-7 and 6:15 p.m. for girls 11

SHS Library

Ibp jazz artists in the metro
area will host a benefit perfor-
mance for the Southfield
High School Library on Tues-
day at 7:30 p.m. in the
Southfield Civic Center
Pavilion.
The roster includes the
Alexander Zonjic Quintet, the
Ursula Walker/Buddy Budson
Trio, Onita Sanders, Ortheia
Barnes, George Benson and
Friends and the Wayne State
University Jazz Band.

Wine To Give
Two Lectures

The Center for New Think-
ing will feature Rabbi Sher-
win Wine, who will speak on
"Folowing Epicurus" on Sun-
day at 2:30 p.m.
In commemoration of the
50th anniversary of the
beginning of World War II, a
retrospective on the subject
will be presented on Thurs-
day at 10 a.m.
Both events will take place
in the Somerset Mall
Auditorium, Troy, and will be
open to the public. There is a
