the recent Midwest Teenage
Basketball Tournament in
Pittsburgh. They lost to Pitt-
sburgh 61-55 and to
Milwaukee 56-44. Tare Wigod
led Detroit with 27 points for
the two games. Steve Kernis
added 18. The JCC squad
finished 10-4 for the season.

The Maple/Drake Jewish
Community Center will play
host to five youth basketball
teams from the Toronto JCC
March 18-19. Five JCC teams
will play their Canadian
counterparts a total of 11
times, from 3-8 p.m. March 18
and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the
next day. The Detroit teams
will be Kenny Goldman
League All-Stars, aged 10-14,
and boys varsity players aged
15-17.
