Tours Planned

New York — Some of the
most popular of the American
Jewish Congress travel pro-
gram, are the organization's
"Eastern Europe: Jewish
Roots" tours.
First introduced in 1983,
the tours combine the color-
ful, scenic and historic coun-
tries of Eastern Europe the
Yiddishkeit which once
flourished there.
Five tour departures are
planned for 1989: June 11,
July 2, July 23, Aug. 13 and
Sept. 10, each escorted by a
scholar whose expertise is the
Jewish expereience in
Eastern Europe. In each city,
travelers will meet members
of local Jewish communities.
The 19-day itinerary covers
Czechoslovakia, Poland,
Bulgaria, Hungary and
Holland.
