Seniors Go
To Concert

The senior adult depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center announces
that the Boaz Siegel Endow-
ment Fund is making possi-
ble a trip for 44 seniors to at-
tend a Detroit Symphony Or-
chestra Coffee Concert today.
Sophia Hoffman will
preside at a games day Sun-
day in Jaffe Hall at 1:30 p.m.
when games and
refreshments will be provided
at a nominal charge.
"Self Discovery Through
The Humanities" will explore
the memories of school days
through the medium of slides
and tapes on Tuesday at 11
a.m. in room 4 of the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Building.
Klezmer and cantorial
music will be played in the
JPM library at 12:30 p.m.
Tuesday.
Public Safety Officer Smith
will discuss "Senior Safety"
at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the JPM
assembly hall. Following the
lecture, the second part of the
movie On The Avenue will be
shown.
The Yiddish Culture Club
will be the scene for enter-
tainment by Eileen Israel,
Betty Kroker, Eva Meister
and Lillian Zellman at 12:30
p.m. Thursday in Jaffe Hall of
the JPM.
Irving Herman will preside
at the Press Review, a current
events discussion group, at
12:30 p.m. Thursday in room
15 of the JPM.

The Enhanced Generation
of Congregation Beth Shalom
will meet at 9:30 a.m. on
Wednesday at the synagogue.
Alvin Kushner, former ex-
ecutive director of the Jewish
Community Council, will
speak on "Areas of Concern in
the Jewish Community," and
then, Phyllis Young will lead
a current-events discussion. .
Senior adults are invited.
There is no fee. Coffee will be

Program Set

`Young At Heart, Congrega-
tion Beth Achim's group for
seniors, will have a pre-
Passover program on Thurs-
day at 1 p.m. in the Sol
Schwartz Auditorium.
The movie The Four Sons,
featuring Theodore Bikel,
will be shown and Cantor
Max Shimansky will sing
Passover melodies. A discus-

sion and social hour will
follow and Purim refresh-
ments will be served.
George Rossmann and Lot-
ty Partovich are program vice
presidents. Members will go
to the Birmingham Theater
on April 5 at 2 p.m. to see Neil
Simon's Broadway Bound.

Seniors Hear
Talk On Purim

The senior adult depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center will present
Rabbi Paul Yedwab of Temple
Israel to speak on Purim on
Monday at 1 p.m. in room 239
of the Maple/Drake Building.
There is a nominal charge for
the program. For information,
call Marilyn Wolfe or Judy

Free Tax
Service Set

Free income tax service is
available to senior citizens
from now until April 10 each
Monday. Hours are 9 a.m. to
1:30 p.m.
Volunteers from the
American Association of
Retired Persons will assist
any senior with an income of
$20,000 or less per year.

Awareness
Program Set

Oak Park will sponsor a
program for seniors on Senior
Awareness. This program will
help seniors learn ways to
protect themselves, their
homes and valuables. The
program will be held on Tues-
day at 12:30 p.m. at the Oak
Park Community Center.

Seniors Make
Ceramic Jewelry

The senior adult depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center will teach the
art of making ceramic jewelry
with instructor Judy Brady
on Tuesdays, beginning
March 21 at 10 a.m. at the
Maple/Drake Building.

Seniors To See
'Funny Lady'

Funny Lady, a film about
the life of entertainer Fanny
Brice, will be the Friday Mor-
ning Feature today, 10 a.m. in
the assembly hall of the
Jewish Community Center's
Jimmy Prentis Morris
Building.
