Machon DTorah, the Jewish
Learning Network of
Michigan, announces that
there are a few spaces still
available for the 1989 annual
retreat weekend March 9-12
at the Campus Inn, Ann
Arbor.
Speakers include: Dr.
Shalom Serbernick of
Jerusalem, Israel; Rabbi
Yehuda Silver of London,
England, and Rabbi Shalom
Schwartz of Toronto, Canada,
all from the Arachim
Organization of Israel. The
theme for the weekend will be
"Contemporary Revelations
about the Authenticity of
Torah Judaism via Logic, Ar-
cheology and Scientifically
Proven Computer Codes."

Machon IfIbrah, in conjunc-
tion with the National Jewish
Outreach Program will pre-
sent two sessions of "A Crash
Course In Hebrew" beginning
March 13 and March 14. -
The crash course consists of
five weekly classes, and are
aimed at teaching par-
ticipants to be able to read

Hebrew in time for the
Passover.
The Monday night session
will be held at the
Maple/Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center at 7:30 p.m.
The Tuesday night session,
also beginning at 7:30 p.m.,
will be held at the Machon
L'Torah Learning Center,
15221 W. 10 Mile, Oak Park.
There is no charge, but
registration is required.
The Machon will offer a
"Crash Course in Basic
Hebrew" for residents of
Northville. The classes will
start March 12 at 7:30 p.m. in
the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Benstein, 19511 Dart-
mouth, Northville. There is
no charge, but registration is
required.
The Machon and Congrega-
tion Shomrey Emunah will
co-sponsor a brunch on
Sunday at 11 a.m. at Con-
gregation Shomrey Emunah,
