ped children . . . For ticket in-
fo, call the Variety Club office,

on being a sponsor, call Les
Lee Roland, 559-1144.
BRIAN DISHELL plays a
very fine stylized piano in the
lounge at Ritz Carlton Hotel
in Dearborn . . . His own im-
provised arrangements on
standards like Sophisticated
Lady, The Way You Look
Tonight, and others are easy
listening to a lot of talent.
ERRATA, TYPO, Etc.
Dept. . . . Correct hours at
Serravalle of Troy on E. Big
Beaver are Monday-Thursday,

FORD AUDITORIUM
takes on flavor of the French
Quarter in New Orleans
when Dukes of Dixieland join
Detroit Symphony Orchestra
for Merrill Lynch Weekender
Pops Concerts tonight and
tomorrow night, 8:30 p.m.,
and Sunday, 3:30 p.m.
For more than three
decades, the six-member
Dukes of Dixieland have been
among the world's foremost
exponents of New Orleans
jazz . . . Faces have changed
over the years, but today's
combo has kept up with the
times, giving audiences a
distinctive blend of tradi-
tional Dixieland, pop, and in-
novative jazz stylings from
the heart and soul of the city
where jazz was reportedly
born . . . The Dukes of Dix-
ieland have played with
almost every major jazz music
star and claim the distinction
of being the only Dixieland
jazz ensemble to appear with
major symphony orchestras.
It'll be something hearing
the Dukes of Dixieland doing
"South Rampart Blues."
GOOD TO HEAR that
Ann and Enzo Conte will
move their Rina's of Detroit
restaurant that stood for 38
years on Schaefer . . . and
closed Feb. 2.
When it opens this spring
in Village Common Mall,
Farmington, as Marco's, nam-
ed after their son, he will be
its manager, with Ann
greeting friends old and new,
and Enzo putting out that
good, home-styled Italian
cooking.
