Midrasha Joins
Women For Talks
The Midrasha-College of
Jewish Studies and American
Women for Bar-Ilan. Universi-
ty will co-sponsor a series of
three lectures entitled
"Jewish Communities in
Crisis?'
The first lecture will be
held at 10 a.m. Tuesday and
will feature Aviva Klein-
baum. She will speak on
"Jews in the Islamic Near
East: Past, Present and
Future?' Ms. Kleinbaum is a
former resident of Iraq and
Israel.
On Feb. 28, George p. Mann,
an attorney and specialist in
immigration and nationality
law, will speak on "Ethiopian
Jewry: The Unfinished Ex-
odus." Rabbi Arnie
Sleutelberg of Congregation
Shir Tikvah will speak on
"Through the Eyes of the On-
ly Jewish Boy in Town" on
March 7.
The lectures will be held at
the Friedman Conference
Room of the United Hebrew
Schools building, beginning
at 9:30 a.m. with a continen-
tal breakfast. The lectures
will begin at 10 a.m. There is
a charge.

Alzheimer's
Group Meets
The West Bloomfield Fam-
ily Support Group of the
Alezheimer's. Association will
meet at 10:30 a.m. on Monday
at Temple Israel.
This new support group,
which is for caregivers, fam-
ily members, and friends of
individuals afflicted by
Alzheimer's disease, meets at
10:30 a.m. on the third Mon-
day of each month and offers
educational support pro-
grams. It is open to the public.
