It's Tradition
Woven into the fabric of our faith is a shimmering thread represen-
ting our commitment to the aged. The Torah instructs us to "Honor
thy father and thy mother." We have promised the aged — our
mothers, our fathers, even ourselves — that the Jewish tradition of
caring for our elders will be maintained. We're keeping the promise
at Borman Hall and Prentis Manor.
Synagogue services are held daily and the Sabbath and all
holidays are observed traditionally at Borman Hall and Prentis
Manor.
The Dietary Departments at each facility prepare three meals per
day in accordance with Jewish dietary laws.
A complete rehabilitation program including examinations by
physiatrists, as well as structured physical and occupational therapy
routines, is available to all referred residents.
Therapeutic recreation activities — music, dance, lectures, per-
formances, and social events — enhance the quality of care richly
deserved by 312 elderly members of our community beginning a
new phase in their lives at Borman Hall and-Prentis Manor.
Quayle's Speech
Garners Praise
Palm Beach (JTA) —
American Jewish leaders
were unequivocal in their
praise of Vice President Dan
Quayle's speech last week.
Quayle affirmed America's
lasting commitment to Is-
rael's security and the Bush
administration's deep suspi-
cion of the Palestine Libera-
tion Organization.
Their statements, however,
took no notice of his asser-
tion, with reference to Palesti-
nian casualties in the West
Bank and Gaza Strip, that
Israel must be judged by
higher standar& than prevail
in the region, and that the
status quo in the territories is
"clearly unacceptable."
Burton Levinson, the ADDs
national chairman, called his
speech "an early statement
by the Bush administration of
continuing U.S. commitment
to the long-standing prin-
ciples of American Middle
East policy."
