Orchestra Hall
Trip Planned

The senior adult depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center, Jimmy Pren-
tis Morris Building, will
travel to hear the Lyric
Chamber Ensemble at Or-
chestra Hall on Sunday.
A new format will go into
effect for the "Self Discovery
Through The Humanities"
discussion group. Frances
Weinberg will present a
multi-sensory audio-visual
approach. This group will
meet Tuesday at 11 a.m. in
room 4 of the JPM.
The chief librarian of the
Oakland County Library for
the Blind and Physically
Disabled will speak on 'Tues-
day at 1 p.m. in the JPM
assembly hall. The lecture
will deal with the many
available resources for han-
dicapped people.
Following the lecture, the
second part of the movie, Out
of This World, will be shown
by Archie Leslie in the JPM
assembly hall.
Fannie Rosen will entertain
the Yiddish Culture Club on
Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at the
JPM.

Seniors To Hear
Weingarten Talk

Congregation Beth Sha-
lom's Enhanced Generation
for senior adults will have cof-
fee and a lecture at 9:30 a.m.
Wednesday at the synagogue,
14601 W. Lincoln, Oak Park.
Rabbi Yisrael Weingarten,
spiritual leader of Congrega-
tion Beth Chabad of Flint and
a prison chaplain, will speak
on "Jewish Prisoners/Dis-
chargees and Their Families."
Phyllis Young will lead a cur-
rent events discussion follow-
ing the rabbi's talk.
