Sister Carol became very dedicated, and today works in New York with Elie Wiesel. Golden's next project will be working on the Cranbrook Hospice Community Advisory Committee. He continues to work in the community behind the scenes living up to his childhood nickname — "Golden Boy." Golden remembers his grandfather's philosophy: "You have to be an ambassador for your people." TIDBITS ROSEN BAR MITZVAH Temple Beth El in West Palm Beach was the recent site of Joseph Rosen's bar mitzvah. Proud parents are former Detroiters Sandy and Marvin Rosen. Marvin Rosen is the managing partner in Florida for the legal firm, Honig-man Miller Schwartz and Cohn. Many Detroiters attended including grandmother Rachel Rosen, aunt and uncle Elliot and Arlene Rosen, and friends Ronna and Fred Bluford, Manny and Roz Katzman, Laurie and Jerry Rosenthal, Sharon and Larry Schwartz, Nattie Reinstein and Sonia Pone. The weekend included a Shabbat dinner, services, dinner-dance and Superbowl party for a super weekend. HEALTHY HEART February is national heart month and Chef Duglass, of Brasserie Duglass, Mel Rubenfire of the Center for Cardiovascular Health at Sinai Hospital, and Marge Devine, a registered nurse want to spread the word. Doug Grech a.k.a. Chef Duglass recently apologized for clogging his patrons' arteries in the past. At a dinner party at his home, he demonstrated his new low-cholesterol culinary treats. Some of the people concerned about their hearts and tasting the low- fat foods included: Pola Friedman, corporate director of-public and community relations at Sinai Hospital with her husband Howard, Sinai President Bob Steinberg and his wife Cynthia, Shirley Eder, Linda Solomon, J.P. Mcarthy. The restaurant Brasserie Duglass will offer a special heart menu, analyzed by Sinai Hospital, all this month. SUNSHINE SPLASH Another winter gathering and benefit for the Archives of American Art/Smithso- nian Institution will take place during the weekend of Feb. 23-27 in Coconut Grove, Fla.
