Dodge is coming home .. .
It'll sure be great spending
time with parents Myron and
Jackie Milgrom, but she's
returning as a working
choreographer for the Birm-
ingham Theatre's New York
production of Stephen Son-
dheim's classic musical, Com-
pany, Feb. 15 through March
19.

mooning on a Caribbean

Henry Ford High grads of
1969 have a get-together date
for July 22, 7 p.m., at

30 YEARS LATER and
Fred Stahl is still clipping
hair . . . only this time it's the
sons of those many bar mitz-
vah boys and young men.
LOOKING BACK on Col-
umns of Yesteryears .. .
JAN. 15, 1955 . . .
"Daughter Linda had been
promised a telephone for her
14th birthday by parents
Alice and Merle Goodman .. .
Shortly before its installation,
there were elaborate plans
among her friends . . . They
stashed away pickles, sar-
dines and crackers in her
room . . . And they brought
hair curlers, playing cards
and knitting to occupy those
who would not be on the
phone . . . Finally the big day
arrived . . . At four o'clock,
Linda thundered in from
school with three excited
friends, followed a few
minutes later by four more
. . . After a brief lull, three
more arrived . . . Finally the
last youngster dashed
upstairs . . . All this confusion
was suddenly followed by a
great silence . . . Alice went
upstairs to investigate and
found a roomful of surprised
and wide-eyed faces . . . After
a distressed pause, Linda said
softly, "There's nobody to call
— we're all here."

"Favorite Stories . . . by Com-
edian Morty Gunty . . . about
how he used the favorite
dodge of making a telephone
person-to-person call to
himself at a home number to
signal his whereabouts .. .
After landing in New York by
plane, he put through a phone
call to Chicago to report his
safe arrival . . . The telephone
rang in his mother's house
and the operator asked if
Morty Gunty was there .. .
`No, he isn't: Mom said, 'and
tell him to be sure and wear
a sweater? "
SEPT. 13, 1974 . . . "It was
a wise and experienced
mother who announced to a
group of small fry at her son's
birthday party, 'Now
remember, kids, there will be
a special prize for the little
boy who goes home first. "
SEPT. 13, 1974 . . . "Watch-
ing a pro football game on TV
recently, Bert Sommers said
to his wife, Lee, 'Look at that
guy! He's fumbled three times
and every time the other
team has receovered. Why do
they let a stupid moron like
him play?' . . . Their little
7-year-old son Bert with anx-
ious eyes . . . 'Daddy,' he
reasoned, 'maybe it's his
ball.' "
SEPT. 20, 1974 . . . "Saying
his prayers last week, little
Craig Feldman, 6-year-old son
of Millie and Jay Feldman,
ended with, `. . and please
make Arnie stop throwing
stones at me. By the way, I've
mentioned this before' . . . Lit-
tle Ronnie Meyers, son of ex-
Detroiters Max and Sylvia
Meyers, went to school in
Miami a couple of weeks ago,
carrying an excuse to his
teacher . . . 'Please excuse
Ronnie for being absent. He
has a new brother. It was not
his fault.' "
SEPT. 20, 1974 . . . "As is
the whim among many little
children, Anne Sue Green,
6-year-old daughter of Shirley
and Lou Green, reported to
her mother that she was off to
see the world . . . Shirley said
she would pack her a lunch
and wished Anne Sue the
best of luck, saying that if she
ever wanted to come back
home, her daddy and mother
would always be waiting .. .
It all seemed serious until lit-
tle Anne Sue burst out crying,
`But mommy, what'll I do
when it gets dark outside?' "
