GETTING UP in the world
. . . that's Mike Albert of
Albert's Hamburgers on
Grand River between
McNichols and Lahser . . . No
more four-person banquet
room . . . it's now up to 10 and
if Mike doesn't watch out,
somebody's going to book it
one of these days.
Albert's Hamburgers has
been in the family 32 years
. . . being a Power's Ham-
burger spot before that .. .
Mike has had it about 17
years . . . using only ground
chuck, quite unheard of in the
world of hamburgers outside
of regular sitdown
restaurants . . . So many of
the others use everything in
the world from filling to
whatever . . . Mike was at
Jovans inside Jacques the
night Denny McLain opened
. . . and had dinner while the
ex-Tiger superstar strummed
his keyboard stylings . . .
What did Mike the ham-
burger king have to eat? .. .
a Jovan hamburger
