of teddy bear toys. Dr. Marty

A Germbusters puppet show

of the board of governors of
the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion, and the president of the
Council of Jewish Federa-
tions, the umbrella organiza-
tion of almost 200 Federa-
tions throughout North
America.
He recently created the
Mandell L. Berman Center
for the Hillel Foundation at
the University of Michigan.

with Mr. and Mrs. Bert. L.
Smokier, and Mr. and Mrs.

ed the Julius Berman Village
of Camp Maas.

In an effort to show unity
and solidarity with Israel,
B'nei Akiva of Detroit will
sponsor a holiday program for
the benefit of Israeli soldiers
serving on active duty during
Purim.
"The Purim Connection" is
aimed to extend moral sup-
port and encouragement and
holiday cheer from local
members of the community to
members of the Israel
Defense Forces troops in
Israel.
Letters and individual
Purim baskets will be
delivered to the soldiers in
honor of the holiday.
Families are_encouraged to
write a letter to an Israeli
chayal (soldier), and send it to
the B'nei Akiva office along
with-$5 to cover the cost of the
basket.
SAREL volunteers in Israel
will coordinate the actual
assembly and delivery of the
treats and letters and on
Purim, each individual letter,
along with a mishloach
manot basket will be
delivered to a soldier on ac-
tive duty.
