Dr. Croll leaves his wife, Elizabeth; a daughter, Ed- wina Davis; a son, Alan of Beverly Hills, Calif.; three brothers, Sen. David A. of Toronto, Ont., Dr. Maurice and Cecil; and six grandchildren. Kahn, a member of the National Council of Jewish Women and Hadassah, died Jan. 19 at age 88. Born in England, Mrs. Kahn leaves a son, A. David; a daughter, Mrs. Seymour (Beatrice) Rowe; a brother, Gene Redlich of Lyndhurst, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Anna Siegel Anna Siegel, a member of Jewish women's organiza- tions, died Jan 18 at age 89. Born in Russia, Mrs. Siegel was a member of the Sinai Hospital Guild, Jewish Na- tional Fund and Hadassah. She leaves two sons, Albert B. of Palo Alto, Calif., and Dr. Sheldon of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Aubrey (Shirley) Goldman; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Louis Levinson Dr. R. Drews Dr. Robert S. Drews, a psychiatrist who practiced in Detroit for nearly 60 years, died Jan. 19 at age 88. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Dr. Drews retired in 1983. He was graduated from Wayne State University Medical School in 1925. He got a doctorate in public health from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1938. He was a fellow Moreno Institute of Psychodrama and Group Psychotherapy. Dr. Drews was a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Detroit Philosophical Society. He won two first prizes from the 1988-89 GIRLS SCHOOL GRADUATING CLASS Our high school graduating classes have consistently held a record-breaking percentage of Phi Beta Kappa, State of Michigan Competitive Scholarship and National Merit Scholarship awardees. She leaves her husband, Milton; a son, David; a daughter, Deborah; her mother, Mrs. Ruth Redlich; and a brother, Robert Redlich. REMEMBER THE 630 CHILDREN OF YESHIVA BETH YEHUDAH WHEN PLANNING YOUR ESTATE Louis Levinson Louis Levinson, founder of the first Shaarit Haplaytah organization in Detroit in 1948, died Jan. 17 at age 70. A survivor of the Holocaust, Mr. Levinson was born in Kazimierz, Poland, and came to Detroit in 1947. In response to a blood drive on his behalf, he organized the Albert Einstein Lodge of B'nai B'rith, which was com- prised of Holocaust survivors in Detroit. He owned and operated a family business, Radom Tailors, originally located on Dexter Blvd. and later in Oak Park and Livonia. Following his retirement in 1977, Mr. Levinson continued to be an active volunteer for the Jewish Scholarship Fund and at Sinai Hospital, where he served as an interpreter for Russian immigrants. He is survived by his wife, Rosa; three sons, Dr. Sandy Livnat of Silver Spring, Md., Dr. Marty and Dr. Jay; and seven grandchildren.
