cholesterol and sodium in our diets, but what can we do about it?
Great Scott! is proud to announce that registered dietitians from
the Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair Counties Dietetic Association, and
the Detroit Dietetic Association will be offering supermarket tours
at all Great Scott! Stores on a rotating basis.
See the supermarket as you have never seen it before. This is your
opportunity to shop with a registered dietitian who will explain to
you the ins and outs of healthy eating. Learn how to read a label
and cut down on the saturated fat intake in your diet. As you travel
up and down the aisles learn what foods are best, and hints that
will get you on the road to healthy eating.
Each tour takes approximately 11/2 hours. A fee of $15.00 is charg-
ed by the dietetic association conducting the tour in each store. All
participants will receive a special packet of Great Scott! Coupons
as well as literature on heart-healthy eating.
To reserve your spot for a Supermarket Tour at the Great Scott!
Store nearest you call: 582-8008 Monday through Friday between
9 and 5.

Great Scott! Is Offering Cholesterol Testing.

Tests are being offered at Great Scott! Supermarkets on an ap-
pointment basis by Mount Clemens General Hospital. There is a
small charge of $5.00 per test. Each test consists of analyzing your
blood taken from the tip of your fmger. The results of the test are
given to you in minutes, WHILE YOU WAIT.
Be sure to keep the receipt you are given when you are tested.
Kellogg's is offering a $5.00 rebate on cholesterol testing when you
send in a form found on specially marked packages of Kellogg's Com-
mon Sense Oat Bran, a dated cholesterol screening receipt and two
UPC symbols from the bottom panels of Kellogg's Common Sense
Oat Bran Cereal.
Two stores offer the testing each week. Great Scott! locations for
the next four weeks are:
January 26, 27 & 28: 13 Mile and Orchard Lake, Farmingto
Hills and 15 Mile and Ryan, Sterling Hts.
February 2, 3 & 4: W. Chicago and Telegraph, Redford
and Harper and 8 Mile, St. Clair Shores.
February 9, 10 & 11: Greenfield and Michigan,
Dearborn and Harper and 13 Mile, St.
Clair Shores.
Februal-y 16, 17 & 18: 12 Mile and
