Jewish State needs Christian-
Zionist support to survive."
For the last two years, so-
called Christian-Zionists have
participated in the Salute to
Israel parades in Los Angeles.
Though their spokespersons
have gone on a national
Christian television network
to brag of their intention to
use the parades to "witness
Christ to the Jews," these
alleged friends of the Jews
were welcomed by the parade
sponsors — including the
Israeli Consulate in L.A.
This same consulate
threatened to withdraw its
sponsorship if Jewish "ex-
tremists" were allowed to
participate.
Where are our priorities?
We need the support of God
to survive, not the "support"
of those who would turn us
away from Him.
At a time when our Jewish
community is deeply divided
over the issue of "Who Is A
Jew?", we must take a firm
stand against those who
would truly exploit this issue
to our detriment — as the
missionaries would.
Fortunately, the issue of
Christian missionaries is one
issue on which the Jewish
community is virtually
united and undivided. We
should build on this unity and
stand firm against those who
profess their love for us while
they deny our divine covenant
and destroy Jewish souls.

New York (JTA) — The for-
malizing of a World Jewish
Congress presence in the
Soviet Union cleared its final
hurdle recently when Moscow
Chief Rabbi Adolf Shayevitch
confirmed in writing that he
is no longer a member of the
Anti-Zionist Committee of
the Soviet Public.
