Hermanoff and Associates in Farmington Hills, a full- service public relations firm established in 1985, has taken the Ronald McDonald House and also Lighthouse, a human service agency in Pon- tiac, under its belt. "We work with them by creating visability through newspapers, television and radio," said Dan Artman, ac- count executive of Hermanoff and Associates. "We also recruit volunteers." Lighthouse serves people who have very basic needs. They provide needy people within Oakland County with food, clothing and shelter. Hermanoff and Associates has helped Lighthouse set up its annual spring Hunger Walks. The company has also helped implement its annual Thanksgiving program. This past November, food baskets were distributed to more than 5,000 people. "Lighthouse concentrated so hard on helping others that they didn't have time to pro- mote themselves," said Sandy Hermanoff, the company's founder. "Even though we do this for them 'pro bon(); we treat them as if they were a paying client. "They do wonderful work for us," said Rosellen Loye, a Lighthouse director. "There has been absolutely more visability for Lighthouse, and interest has spiraled over the past few years. They put their whole heart and soul into our program. Hermanoff is just 150 percent behind us." "It gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling inside knowing that you're doing something to help others," noted Her- manoff. "I have seen children walk into Lighthouse wear- ing no shoes or coats during the winter months, and they walk out fully clothed; nothing can top the wonder- ful feeling that brings."
