An active leader in Jewish affairs, Dr. Haber was a Founder and a generous supporter of the Univer- sity. In 1986, the Haber Chair in Economics was created to honor him. A former dean of the College of Literature, Science and the Arts at the University of Michigan, he also authored several volumes in labor relations, unemployment insurance and social security and served as consultant and labor arbitator around the world. His loss will be felt internationally and we extend our sympathy to his wife, Fannie, his sons, Ralph and Alan, and all other members of the family. Herbert D.
