The Midrasha-College of
Jewish Studies, a division of
United Hebrew Schools, will
offer a lecture in Hebrew for
advanced Hebrew students as
part of the advanced Hebrew
language studies program.
The lecture, entitled "On
the Wings of the Eagle: The
Story of the Yemenite Jewish
Community — Personal
Reflections," will be presented
by Yefet Ozery on Jan. 25 at
10:30 a.m. in room 17 of the
Sigmund and Sophie Rohlik
Building of the United
Hebrew Schools.
Ozery, the Detroit com-
munity shaliach and director
of the Israel Program Center
of the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion, was born in Yemen and
arrived to Israel via Opera-
tion Magic Carpet.
The Hebrew lecture is open
to the public at no charge. For
