Eating Disorder
Program Begins

0

Jac-
Psychotherapists
queline Odom and Eileen
Orloff have developed a new
eating disorders program for
women to help them get to
the root of why they overeat.
Beginning in January 1989
at the Eastwood Clinic in
Troy, these therapists will of-
fer women a three-stage pro-
gram in which they pinpoint
their reasons for overeating
and provide new skills to help
women gain control and
develop a healthy attitude
toward food.
The program is aimed at
bulimics, people who binge
and purge or resort to ex-
treme measures of diet and
exercise, and at compulsive
overeaters, people who binge,
whose eating is out of control.
Both group and individual
therapy are utilized in the
process.
To register or for informa-
tion, call Ms. Odom or Ms.
Orloff, daily, at the Eastwood
Clinic, 649-4480. There is a
fee for the program.

That stab of pain or catch in
your back is usually a warning. It is
a symptom of something more
serious taking place in the spine or
its related structures. The same way
that a headache can be a symptom
of many more serious ailments.

What does the average person
do when his car develops a strange
noise or action? He gets the car checked out to find
the cause.

Today you need
Audrey Pearl
more than ever.

Why then do so many of us just let our "warn-
ings" go unattended? Our bodies are far more im-
portant than any other material object. That "warn-
ing" may be trying to tell us that a weakening pro-
cess is at work in the spinal column or that one or
more of the vertebrae are out of position, causing
stress and strain on the disc between them, or on
the related spinal nerves.
