Max Milgrom and Jacob Soberman began their success story right here
in Detroit when they founded Mercury Paint Company seventy years ago.
From the start, Max and Jacob set high standards for themselves... to
manufacture the highest quality paint on the market, specially formu-
lated to stand up to Michigan's climate. Mercury
Paint's reputation grew, and so did their business,
from a single location back in 1918 to eleven full
service stores today.
Mercury Paint Company is still a family-owned

business, run by the Milgrom and Soberman families. Professional
painters and do-it-yourselfers know Mercury Paints for its wide selection
of quality paints and stains, wallpapers and supplies as well as for their
knowledgeable and helpful staff.
In seventy years a lot has changed, but one thing
remains the same. A commitment to succeeding in
Detroit through hard work and high standards. It's
a commitment Mercury Paint hopes to sustain for
another 70 colorful years in Detroit.
