Immediately after the di- saster, B'nai B'rith Inter- national presented the Soviet embassy here with a donation of $1,500; a Canadian B'nai B'rith group added $1,000 to the kitty. And last week, staffers at the Washington office of the American Jewish Committee volunteered at the Armenian Assembly of America — the group that has coordinated relief efforts in this country — with bureaucratic chores associated with mobilizing a gigantic relief effort.
