workshops by storyteller Cor-
rine Stavish, and folkdancer

visit to the Smokler Pioneer
Skills Center.
The weekend will take
place at the Butzel Con-

Are Needed
All Red Cross blood donor
centers will be open from 9
a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Blood can be donated by
anyone in good health who
weighs a minimum of 110
pounds and is between 17 and
66 years old. Donating blood
is safe and relatively painless.
There is never a risk of con-
tracting any communicable
disease through the donation
process. Only new, sterile,
disposable needles are used
and immediately discarded
after donation.

Machon To Have
Shabbat Event
Machon L'Torah, The
Jewish Learning Network of
Michigan, will present
"T.G.I.F." (Thank G-d It's Fri-
day), on Jan. 6 at the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Building of
the Jewish Community
Center.
The evening will begin with
Friday Night Shabbat ser-
vices and will include a Shab-
bat dinner, speakers and
workshops.
Sleeping arrangements for
Friday night as well as Satur-
day meals and activities will
be available for those not in
walking distance.
There is a minimal charge,
and reservations are re-
