The topic for the con- vention is "A Year in Israel" and several guest speakers who have recently spent a year in Israel will discuss their personal experiences regarding the many different programs offered to the American student in Israel. The B'nei Akiva year in Israel program, "Hachshara," which incorporates learning in a yeshivah with work on a kibbutz, as well as touring the country, will be described by a B'nei Akiva member who recently spent a year on the Hachshara program. Locally, Kvutzot Shabbat groups will meet this Shabbat afternoon at both Young Israel of Greenfield and Young Israel of Southfield for an afternoon of special Shab- bat activities. Kvuzot begin at 3:30 p.m. and are open to all youngsters in grades kinder- garten-six. Walking groups can be arranged by calling the B'nei Akiva office, 967-3742.
