Yeshivah Fund
For Teachers

New York — Torah Ume-
sorah, the National Society
for Hebrew Day Schools, has
announced the establishment
of an endowed fund by the
family of the. late Samuel C.
Feuerstein to provide for the
intensive training of yeshiva
educators to become experts
in the stewardship of yeshi-
vot/day schools. Students in
the program will be known
as Samuel C. Feuerstein
Scholars.
The training will be under
the mentorship of the leading
yeshivah educators.
Mr. Feuerstein was the key
founder of Torah Umesorah
45 years ago.
In addition to the scholars
program, Torah Umesorah
will inaugurate an annual
Samuel C. Feuerstein Educa-
tor's Award at its 45th an-
niversary. dinner. Rabbi Yit-
zchok Merkin, the principal
of the Yeshiva of Greater
Washington, will be the first
recipient.
