'Magic Menorah'

Rabbi Dannel I. Schwartz of
Temple Shir Shalom will pre-
sent "Mendel the Magic
Menorah" during services at
8 p.m. today.
A magician will illustrate
the differences between
miracle and magic and show
how magic can explain the
miracle of Chanukah.
An Oneg Shabbat will
follow.

Emanu-El Gives
Toys To Children

The Social Action Commit-
tee of Temple Emanu-El
recently collected more than
100 gifts for children with
AIDS at Children's Hospital.
The project was coordinated
by Laura - Sacks Kohn
together with the Wellness
House.
The Social Action Commit-
tee also has been active in the

Wellness House through its
Chaveet Canned Food Drive.
At the suggestion of the com-
mittee, the Wellness House
recently applied for, and
received a $7,500 grant from
MAZON, the Jewish hunger
project. The money will be us-
ed for food supplements for
AIDS victims.

Beth El Offers
Parent Classes

Tbmple Beth El is holding
registration for Parent/Tbd-
dler classes, for parents with
children 18-30 months old,
and All By Myself classes, for
children two-and-one-half to
three years old.
The 10-week sessions are
held on Tuesdays,
Wednesdays and Thursdays
for Parent/Tbddler and on
Mondays and Fridays for All
By Myself. Classes are from
9:30 to 11:00.

Set For Sunday

The Livonia Jewish Con-
