delegate from Detroit to the
Michigan Constitutional
Convention in 1961. He wrote
the provision creating a
freedom of expression act to
protect all forms of art. He
also authored provisions pro-
hibiting racial and religious
discrimination.
Prof. Norris wrote a volume
of poetry for the Bicentennial
entitled You Are This Nation.

Dedicated

Washington — B'nai B'rith
dedicated its first apartment
building for the elderly in
Florida, as the Florida State
B'nai B'rith Senior Citizens
Housing Corporation unveil-
ed its new 100-apartment,
$4.5 million complex in Deer-
field Beach.
Nathan Nagler, National
Chairman of the B'nai B'rith
Senior Citizens Housing
Committee, attended the
ceremonies for the 21st B'nai
B'rith apartment building for
senior citizens now in
operation.
Nagler said four additional
B'nai B'rith senior citizens
housing projects are under
development. By 1989, B'nai
B'rith will have constructed
and be operating 25 apart-
ment buildings nationwide,
with more than 3,000 apart-
ments serving approximately
4,000 older citizens without
regard to race, religion, na-
tional origin, or creed.
