Beth El Adults
Observe Rite

Temple Beth El will
celebrate its first adult b'not
mitzvah at 8 p.m. Dec. 16.
The class began 2 1/2 years
ago and includes Carol Bir-
nkrant, Cynthia Coleman,
Terry Ellis, Laurel Epstein
and Nancy Glass. The
women, who studied Hebrew
and Jewish studies, were in-
structed by Sylvia Barr and
Robert Lask.
Members of the class will
twin their b'not mitzvah with
Soviet refusenik Galina
Kremen.
Galina, her husband and
two children have been
denied permission to
emigrate since October 1974.
The women have sent let-
ters to Galina, but have not
received a response.
The theme of the occasion is
"vanachnu b'yachad," which

means "we are together." An
Oneg Shabbat hosted by the
group will follow the service.
