Chicken with Avocadoes and
Asparagus, and Cedar Plank-
ed Salmon with Egg Sauce.
"Dessert included Bread
Pudding with Bourbon Sauce,
Peach Pan Dowdy, and
Chocolate Charlotte Russe
with Espresso Sauce.
"The three-course meal was
$58 prix fixe. This restaurant
is without a doubt one of the
finest I have ever experienc-
ed. Of all the New York
restaurants I have tried, I en-
joyed An American Place the
most — even more than
Lutece. There is something
about seeing old-fashioned
American items recreated
with the flair of a European
master that makes this place
special."
