Cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m. Rabbi Cohen has served at Young Israel of Oak-Woods since August 1985. He also is senior Judaic staff member and rosh metivta of Akiva Hebrew Day School. A native of Denver, Colo., Rabbi Cohen attended Yeshiva University College and graduated summa cum laude in 1968 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. undergraduate After school, he spent a year at Yeshiva Chafetz Chayim in Jerusalem and attended the smicha program in the Kollel department of Yeshiva University.
