Displaced homemakers are women who, through divorce, separation, widowhood or disability of spouse, have lost their source of economic sup- port. After spending a substantial number of years in the home caring for fami- ly members, displaced homemakers find returning to the job market a difficult transition. Women who need to become financially self-sufficient and need help entering the job market after many years of working only in the home are invited to apply. Eligibility is based on marital and employ- ment status. There are no in- come guidelines. Interested applicants should call Sherri Lumberg of Patti Kurche at Jewish Vocational Service, 559-5000, during business hours.
