chairman of that institution.
He is an active member of
B'nai B'rith Marshall-
Suburban-Tikvah Lodge and
is a past chairman of the
Allied Jewish Campaign

gavel-passing ceremony held
in the Bingham Farms home
of David B. Hermelin, inter-
national campaign chairman
of State of Israel Bonds, and
saw Douglas A. Schubot of
Franklin, Metro Detroit
Israel Bonds general chair-
man for the past three years,
turn over his leadership role
to Jerome Soble of Orchard
Lake, long-time member of
the local Bonds executive
board.
In appreciation for his
"outstanding service on
behalf of State of Israel
Bonds," Schubot was
presented with Israel's
Jerusalem Award.

Plans Events

The senior chapter of the
National Conference of
Synagogue Youth will hold its
annual trip to the Laseria
light and sound show at the
Cranbrook Museum of
Science 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
After the program, par-
ticipants will gather at the
home of chapter advisor,
Chayla Pesis, for a kumzitz
and pizza party.
