seeing that everything went well and everything did go well. Those who danced loved it, those who did not dance listened to the music, socializ- ed, and everyone thought it was a grand affair. The decorations were marvelous — done in blue and white — hangings throughout the Eugene Jaffe Hall — where the music was. A member of the orchestra sang lovely melodies to dance or listen to. There was a festive feeling. Later the guests were directed to the assembly hall for refreshments so as not to disturb the music and dancers. The assembly hall was decorated with hangings, as were the tables with white table coverings and blue menorah cut-outs, and there were chocolate money disks, making it all quite decorative. Miriam Sandweiss had ar- ranged to get sufficient help and the serving tables were set up, and as the guests ar- rived, they were directed to get apple juice and doughnuts — sort of Israeli style. Everything ran smoothy. The Chanukah party seem- ed special; having the or- chestra with Eric Rosenow be- ing quite a showman; having members of the staff and in addition, having Dr. Morton Plotnick stop in the early part of the celebration to look things over, gave it all an ap- pearance of something unique. It was a beautiful Chanukah celebration and we thank Miriam and the staff, as well as the designated committee who worked so hard. O., an obstetrician /gynecologist on the Sinai Medical Staff Is Your Doctor a Sinai Doctor? Not all Sinai doctors are Jewish. But they've all got seychel, and they know how to treat you like a mensch. It's not easy to join the Sinai Medical Staff. Applicants have to complete an accredited residency program in a med- ical specialty. They're expected to be cer- tified by the national examining board in that specialty. Their credentials are scru- tinized by other physicians in their own and related fields before they are rec- ommended for appointment by the Board of Trustees. More than 300 members of Sinai's Medical Staff are on the faculty of the medical schools at Wayne State Univer- sity or the University of Michigan or the dental school at the University of Detroit. We at Sinai get a lot of naches from our medical staff. If your doctor is not a member of the Sinai Hospital medical staff, ask yourself one question—and ask your doctor, too: WHY NOT? If you don't have a doctor, or are look- ing for a specialist, call our Physician Referral Service. We'll be happy to make a shidduch. 1-800-248-DOGS (1-800-248-3627) THIS IS SINAI Michigan's Only Jewish Hospital 1989 CADILLACS NOW IN STOCK DAVID BIBER CRSSMAN CADILLAC 644-1930 1350 N.
