Local members from the sixth, seventh and eighth-grade group will be joined by a large delegation from B'nei Akiva of Cleveland. The theme for the Shab- baton is "Ben Adam L'Chavero — The Jewish Outlook on the Mitzvot Bet- ween Man and His Neighbor." The youth will participate in services and Shabbat meals together at Young Israel of Southfield, and will take part in an Oneg Shabbat program and group learning sessions and discussions dealing with how they can take an active role in helping their fellow Jew. Guest speakers at the Shab- baton include Rabbi Elimelech Goldberg, rabbi of Young Israel of Southfield; and Yehuda and Adina Rothner, former directors of B'nei Akiva Camp Stone, ad- visers to B'nei Akiva of Cleveland. Following the theme, the Zach group will visit the Jewish Home for Ag- ed during the three-day con- vention. Other activities scheduled include a roller- skating party and ice cream social and a scavenger hunt at the Tel-12 Mall.
