ty planning showcase on Jan.
29 at 10 a.m. at the temple.
Admission to the public is
free. More than 40 vendors in
18 different categories
(caterers, florists, favor stores,
room decorators, etc.) will be
on hand to answer questions
and provide information.
Bands will play throughout
the six-hour event. Brochures
containing the names of par-
ticipating vendors as well as
others in the community will
be available free of charge.

NCJW Event
On Guardians
The National Council of
Jewish Women, Greater
Detroit Section, will hold an
informational meeting on
Dec. 1 to discuss a new adult
legal guardianship program.
The meeting will take place
at 10 a.m. in the section of-
fices, 30233 Southfield Rd.,
Southfield.
The purpose of the session
is to explore an outgrowth of
NCJW's Court Appointed
Special Advocates program
for youngsters in the Oakland
County Probate Court
system. A similar program for
adults would provide
monitors for guardians who
have been appointed to assist
the ill and elderly who are
unable to make their own
financial, housing and
medical decisions.

Judge Barry Grant, Judge
Sandra Silver and Hugh-
Dean, manager of probate
estate and mental health ser-
vices division, will speak at
the Dec. 1 meeting.
Private citizens, as well as
representatives from com-
munity organizations, are
