Rabbinical
Student Stabbed
New York (JTA) — A
Yeshiva University student,
Doni Greenblatt, 19, was
stabbed and robbed by five
youths in upper Manhattan
in what police are calling a
"bias incident." Greenblatt, a
second-year rabbinical stu-
dent from the Far Rockaway
section of Queens, said that
he could probably pick out the
assailant.
Police arrested five black
and Hispanic suspects be-
tween 13 and 16 years of age,
all residents of the neighbor-
hood. They were charged last
week with robbery, assault
and possession of a deadly
weapon, all felonies.
The police described the
crime as a bias incident,
because anti-Semitic epithets
were shouted earlier in the
evening outside Morgenstern
Hall.
